Job Summary

The incumbent is accountable to support in LFPAK Packaging & Unique/Special Molding & DTFS process development for High Power Device targeting at Automotive/Industries segment.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Generate work plans & schedules for development activity, NPI & DFMEA practitioner & execute to plan
  • Lead Transfer Mold/DTFS process development on development projects, working as part of the project team
  • Establish project timelines, track & monitor progress, initiate & drive continuous improvement whenever needed, manage to the schedule and communicate project status to management and project leader
  • Working with external vendors to specify, develop and commission new process technologies
  • Work in close cooperation with R&D to draw up and execute well-conceived technology and process roadmaps for power semiconductors
  • Assist in the personal development of junior team members
  • Execute process characterization and investigations to establish process limits
  • Manages or develops technical solutions to design problems with vendors and in-house resources through design reviews, design audits, and prototype analysis
  • Initiate process innovation, process development and improvement in terms of cost reduction and increase efficiencies on the production line
  • Provide technical leadership in the areas assigned and provide “Design for Manufacturing” input to R&D, customers, and product commercialization teams
  • Work closely with R&D Engineering group to assist and coordinate project transfers from R&D phase to Manufacturing phase
  • Initiate/manage capital equipment projects. Specify and manage installation and start-up of new manufacturing equipment
  • Aware of cultural differences that may exist in business practices and applies them in global interactions
  • Set-up manufacturing procedures, process instructions, and provide training to machine operators
  • Designs, executes, and leads multiple analytical development projects. Manages small project teams (1-2 people) independently and with minimal direction. Analyzes and interprets results and designs well controlled experiments based on previous results. Contributes to project advancement by developing new methods or technologies, and troubleshooting. Suggests modifications to protocols or alternative protocols. Routinely works on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Liaises with Equipment Engineering or external equipment/tooling or material vendors in the selection, design & development of new (or upgrades to existing) equipment, tooling and materials
  • Identify cost-effective opportunities for the introduction of best-in-class manufacturing technologies. Design and introduce these technologies to manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge and application of Lean methodologies, and process improvement tools in identification and elimination of “waste” process steps and development of efficient, cost effective equipment and processes
  • Continuous improvement focus, demonstrating strong knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and applies these tools in the characterization, optimization and trouble-shooting of process equipment and technology performance
  • Demonstrates strong technical expertise on process/product technologies to support selection, design, optimization, validation and troubleshooting of, and can mentor engineers and technicians in problem resolution on, those technologies
  • Co-ordinates execution and documentation of validation builds, co-ordinates testing of validation units and the compilation, analysis and reporting of the validation results.

 

Job Requirements:

Candidate must posses Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/EE)
With 5 years and above related working experience
Technical and Professional Knowledge: Mastering in Transfer Mold process for LFPAK & similar leaded Package & Project Management knowledge
